The truth about hepatitis

You have probably heard it a hundred times that Hepatitis B is a common disease that is related to liver illness. According to a research, around 10 percent of the patients who suffer from chronic hepatitis may also develop hepatitis C and same is the case with the HIV virus and the reason behind this co existence can be the same mode of transmission that is shared by all these viral infections.
Liver transplant is a ray of hope for those patients who are at the last stages of chronic hepatitis illness. But it does not guarantee a complete success. The patient may develop hepatitis B in the newly transplanted liver. It is very difficult to get rid of this illness when it becomes old and severe. It is a very dangerous and prolonged illness that severely damages the liver of the patient.

A new advancement in the medical research is the development of manmade antibodies and nucleotides that can be used in the treatment of major viral diseases like hepatitis B. scientists are trying to develop useful nucleotides that will bring a new revolution in the field of medical science. They are hopeful about the positive results of the ongoing research in this area.
